Calling it for now. There’s some areas I know need a bit of work but I’m happy with it enough to leave it alone for a couple days.
The whole image was done in Photoshop using a Wacom Bamboo tablet using the brush tool set to 2px with 100% hardness.
It’s sized at 16x20 @ 300DPI at 100%. Can’t wait to see it printed.
More progress and a detail shot at 100%.
I have this sized at 16x20 @ 300DPI in Photoshop. The entire thing is being done with the brush tool at 2px in black with hardness set to 100%.
Also…I have no idea how I’m going to draw the antlers into a border to replace the out of place oval.
Added a bit more shading to the fox and started to redo the shading on the deer. Looonnnggg process.
One of the photos today from my adventure! I only took two (woods in suburbia are only so interesting) but I have big plans for the other shot I’m developing tomorrow. Like, wall sized big. So hopefully it comes out like I want it to.

My coworkers like to practice levitation sometimes. It’s very effective for getting work done.
Another forced perspective. Gonna have to work out the depth of field thing…This was on F16 and still a bit fuzzy in the background.
A Portrait of a Panther In its Natural Environment, 2012
This photo’s meant to be ironic. I like the idea but I needed to go wider so the photo will have to be redone.
Portra 160 pushed to 400.
I was digging all this line variation.

Better scan of a previous upload. I originally shot this in black and white in infrared. Looking back at it I wish I would’ve gone wider. I’m always rethinking compositions…
I love the color shift effects with pushing portra.
